History
Outreach Sports was birthed out of a 40 day fast in seeking God's will on
what was the best way for us to serve Him. Outreach Sports' mission is to
share the Good News of Jesus Christ through sports! We do this in a number
of different ways.
The first is to equip and train churches on how they can have effective sports ministries at their
church with volunteers. We train church volunteers on how to start and organize
a sports ministry, cast vision, promote events, and then implement an effective
sports ministry at their church. This includes helping them host well run,
ministry-centered leagues, tournaments, and events so that they in turn can
mobilize their members to outreach, fellowship, and disciple through
sports.
The second way is to train churches on how they can serve the youth of their community through sports
camps! These sports camps aim to provide character development while also
meeting physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the
participants.
The third way is to host tournaments and events so that churches can plug into them so that they can
mobilize their members to outreach and fellowship through sports. In these
tournaments and events, we host well run tournaments that include devotions that
challenge people to consider a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
We then hope churches will invite these individuals to their church for
further spiritual growth.
